Experiencing discomfort or denture instability? At Kafka Denture Clinic, your denture comfort is important to us, which is why we offer denture relines, rebases and repairs for clients in Abbotsford and elsewhere in the Fraser Valley. This includes repairs, relines, rebases and soft liner.
Relines and Rebases for Ongoing Maintenance
If your dentures are still in good condition but could fit a little better, then a reline or rebase might be just what you need. Whether we like it or not, our body changes with time. When it comes to your gums, a reline is suggested every two years to prevent injury to the supportive tissue and to regain a proper fitting denture. Relining is when we add extra material to the inside of your denture to improve the fit; rebasing is when the denture’s teeth are satisfactory but the pink acyclic base needs to be replaced.
Repairs to Restore Your Broken Dentures
Over time, your dentures can crack, chip or break. If this happens, please bring your dentures to us for a professional repair.
Soft Liner for Your Comfort
Soft liners consist of soft polymer material that is added to the hard denture base and acts like a cushion for your gums. In some cases, a soft liner can be used to provide a more comfortable fit for your dentures. Typically, it is best used on a lower denture that rests on a flat, shallow gum. Soft liners work well but require a little more careful attention when it comes to cleaning. Care must be taken not to use a harder type of soaking agent, as this may shorten the lifespan of the soft liner.
